Dagon: from Sumeria to Avalon

https://www.facebook.com/DragonCourt?ref=hl
Dagon: known to us as the god whom Samson pulled down after he was blinded, crushing all who were at the festivities. Yet his image has remained in some surprising alterations.

He was known as the Fisher King, or mer-man with a cloak of scales that resembled a fish. There are tales of a people known as 'The Shining Ones' who wore cloaks of many overlapping colours that shone in the light hence their name. Perhaps Joseph was given one of those cloaks?

So if Dagon was one of those 'Shining Ones', a people garbed in cloaks that glowed from within, a people known to possess great wisdom, beauty and longevity who brought science and culture wherever they landed, it stands to reason that the civilization that accepted him would in time come to raise him to the status of their God.

Dagon was eventually forgotten by history, those cultures that worshiped him erased by time as new cultures arose. But the Shining Ones did not disappear, though they had been hunted through the ages. Instead they had to resort more often to hiding their true nature and their offspring to safeguard their bloodline.

Which is why the tale of the Fisher King is surprising giving Jehovah's hatred of Dagon. In a legend glorifying a  Christian king we find that the keeper of the Holy Grail is a Fisher King and that his kinsman Parcival is the only one of Arthur's knights who is worthy of finding the Grail. Why 'Fisher King'? Some surmise it's because after the injury to his groin he could only find peace when fishing, but if we look at the earlier tales of enlightened beings, their outer garments and their bloodline, a suitable explanation is that the Fisher King was one of the Shining Ones (hence his longer than average life even when wounded).
Parcival has to heal the king by asking the question "Whom does the Grail serve?" The answer is the King himself and by asking the right question, the King and the land is healed. Which brings another interesting tale, this of Cronus..................

Cronus, also known as Saturn has not the best of reputations and rightly so. He castrated his father with an adamant scythe and ate his own children. He is a god in Egypt, Greece and Rome but a surprising ancient text claims the ten kings of Atlantis were adopted as the Egyptian pantheon. If that were true, then Cronus was a real flesh and blood being. Perhaps a 'Shining One', with superior strength, wisdom and longevity, but ultimately mortal. So why did he castrate his father?

The legend has it his mother asked him to and he obliged, partly out of loyalty to her and also out of a desire to supplant him. So why not just kill his father outright?

Ancient civilizations believed that the health (in particular reproductive health) of the King was tied to the fertility of the land. In ancient Cambodia the King had to make a nightly climb to the top of the Celestial Palace to pay homage to the Serpent Goddess who would appear in human form. Should he fail in his task, the kingdom would be destroyed. The ancient Celts would sacrifice their king should the crops fail and famine approached, believing he had failed in his duty as king and had displeased the gods. Only his blood shed would restore the fruitfulness of the land.

So if the Atlanteans believed that the health of the King determined the health of the land, then what would happen to a King who became injured or ill? The ancients did not have food storage as we do. If the crops failed one year there would be hardship and many would die. So the King could not be allowed to remain on the throne, either he would be forced to step down or executed. If one wanted to commit regicide, perhaps, like Cronus who had the added incentive of making his father suffer, then one simply had to deal the king a blow, such as to the groin. There could only be one outcome: the King must then be removed.

Cadaceus

The Serpent in Genesis, a creature reviled through the ages, accused of pandering to Eve's instincts to defy God's orders and causing the fall of Man. Who, or what, was he?

We find him today every time we go to the hospital or pharmacy and view this (also known as the Caduceus):

The serpent to the Annunaki represented wisdom. Enki was recognised for this trait. He was also skilled in medicine and genetic manipulation. As the Lord of the Earth (his brother Enlil the Lord of the Skies), he ruled over animals, flora and fauna. It is he who, along with his wife Nin-Khursag, created the Lulu Amel, or Human Worker to serve the Annunaki.
He was not, however, a despot. As a true scientist, he sought to perfect this being he had created and determined that the best way to do that was to give his humans the ability to think and to reason, in short, to make them like himself and his fellow Annunaki. This was anathema to Enlil who viewed humans as a sub-species created to serve a specific purpose unquestioningly. A view that has transcended the ages through the followers of the three major religions founded on him. An unfailing adherence to dogma is required with those who dare to question the tenets of faith brutally suppressed.
To Enlil, the lulu amel's ability to reason and make decisions for themselves was enough to declare war on his brother. In Genesis 3:22 Jehovah says "Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil" (note the use of the word "us"--perhaps not to be confused with the Royal "we".)
Enki's belief's were transmitted to his son Ningizzida who found the Mystery School of Thoth. His teachings were similar to what we find in Genesis, but with certain differences:
In the beginning there was nothing, then the waters of Light were divided from the waters of darkness, and from the waters of Light were formed the worlds above and from the waters of darkness were formed the worlds below.
“And the Word which appeared as a pillar of flame out of the darkness is the Son of God, born of the mystery of the Mind. The name of that Word is Reason. Reason is the offspring of Thought and Reason shall divide the Light from the darkness and establish Truth in the midst of the waters.”
“The union of the Word (reason) and the Mind produces that mystery which is called Life.”
“The Light and the fire which rise are the divine man, ascending in the path of the Word, that which fails to ascend is the mortal man, which may not partake of immortality.”
“Learn deeply of the Mind and its mystery, for therein lies the secret of immortality."
“Let him that is endued with Mind know himself to be immortal and that the cause of death is the love of the body; and let him learn all things that are, for he who has recognized himself enters into the state of Good”
"Let the man endued with a Mind mark, consider, and learn of himself, and with the power of his Mind divide himself from his not-self and become a servant of Reality."
In the Biblical version we are told "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God"---omitting the word "reason" altogether.
So, what are we to make of all this? If Enki, represented by his totem, the serpent, sought to give us a mind and the potential to use it, then why is he reviled? For that matter, why has the female sex been made to suffer over Eve's 'sin'?

What does the Caduceus symbolize?
The symbol we know today represents two serpents (the central nervous system) wrapped around the Rod of Asclepius (or a wand) which in our body is our spinal column.
The swan or wings are the two hemispheres of our brain. In popular culture we recognize the Swan Princess or Lohengrin, the Knight of the Swan. Who were they? Perhaps those, who through the use of the methods given by Ningizzida, had activated more of their brain than we are capable of.
The circle in the centre is our pineal gland (or third eye). The pineal gland was of utmost importance to the Annunaki and its activation through the use of stimulants the key part of their ceremonies. This enabled them to live the lifespans they did. When God forbade Adam and Eve from eating from the Tree of Life, he did not want them ingesting Star Fire or the Highward Stone, thus lengthening their lives.
In retaliation for his brother's actions, he tarnished the serpent, branding it as evil and a symbol of temptation to be repudiated instead of the veneration and gratitude it deserves

The Annunaki

The Annunaki

v  Anunnaki translates as “Those who came down from the Heavens”
v  They were also called Nephilim meaning “To fall down to Earth, to land” or
v  Elohim in the Bible meaning “These Beings”.
v  In Ashuric/Syriac (Arabic) they are called Jabaariyn meaning “the mighty ones”
v  In Aramic (Hebrew) Gibborim meaning “The Mighty or Majestic ones”
v  They are also called Neter in Egypt
v  There is also some evidence the Annunaki were known to the Indians and may even be the Gods and Goddess still worshipped today. It is curious that Ayurveda means ‘Life’ and ‘Science’. The Annunaki were primarily scientists and engineers. Also, many of the pictures of the Gods flying and engaging in war in the sky bear similarities to the Sumerian and Egyptian depictions

Many experts, such as Sitchin, seem to agree that the Anunaki first visited our planet approximately 430,000 years ago and first settled in the Middle East area. Stone structures found throughout the Middle East, South America and Africa seems to point to evidence of being created by the Annunaki.

“In Bolivia, in the Andes Mountains, there are stone platforms which are up to twenty-nine metres long and weigh up to 900 tonnes. - Erich von Daniken

Thanks to as yet unexplained preciseness in stone-cutting, the structure is built in such a way that a single piece of paper will not fit between two stones

The Annunaki had advanced knowledge in Sound Technology and Mathematical Precision used both for healing and communication. There is also a theory the sound projection and soundwave manipulation enabled by the structures could have been used to keep an often unruly population calm. One such structure is the Oracle Room discovered underground in Malta:

Approximately 250,000 years ago is when recovered documents show that this is when they began splicing Homo Erectus and Anunnaki genes together to create the Home Sapien species intended to be a slave race to serve them. It is possible that they experiment with other species as well, which would account for some of the monsters found in ancient mythology.  They found success with the humans, who served them well, albeit not without a few hiccups as Enki and Nin-Khursag strove to create a creature that would be able to fulfill the tasks set to it without the intelligence to rebel. Eventually they decided to give the humans more intelligence, sparking a war with other Annunaki, led by Enlil who wished for the humans to be kept ‘in their place’. To that end he flooded an entire valley, wiping out everyone who lived there after complaining they were too loud and disturbed him.
As catastrophic as it was for those who lived there, the humans proved to be an extremely resilient species and grew so numerous that they then began to spread throughout the rest of the world.
Around 6,000 years ago the Anunnaki High Council sided with Enki and Nin-Khursag and allowed humans to gain their independence under Priest Kings in Seven Cities located in Sumer who were empowered by careful breeding and  the regular ingestion of Star Fire to carry out the Annunaki’s orders. This is why specific genetically enhanced blood lines were created.
My book ‘Dragon Court’ covers some of the Chief Annunaki involved in the creation of humans, known as Lulu Amel (or workers) and the subsequent creation of societies governed by Priest Kings and Queens to act as intermediaries between the regular humans and the Annunaki themselves.

As the pantheon is quite extensive, I was unable to include every member of this conglomerate in a single book, unfortunately, but I have tried to portray the main ones as accurately as possible, based on the ancient texts and the descriptions of not only the personalities of the ‘Gods’ but by their actions as well it is possible to make an educated guess as to their  personal qualities, characteristics, motivation and ideology.

In another article I will be looking at the ‘Reptilian’ features that figure predominantly in texts and carvings—were they of the Annunaki themselves? How could we be created in their image if they were reptiles? And what are we to make of claims they and their descendants engaged in infant sacrifice?

We will also look at the Pyramids, their uses and connection to Atlantis (hint: Plato provides the proof, only now being confirmed by modern experts)
Welcome to Annunaki Gods and Demons.

For years I have been fascinated with tales of these beings found all over the Globe. They have influenced every culture and religion and yet their existence has been allocated to the realm of fantasy.
Who were they really, if they existed at all?

I will be attempting to answer that in this blog, compiling all the information available about them, from the ancient classics, tales of the Egyptian, Roman and Grecian Gods to contemporary authors such as Zacharia Sitchin, Laurence Gardiner and David Icke, hopefully regurgitating it in a fashion that is both cohesive and interesting.

My aim is not to prove they existed, but rather investigate how they came into being and what affect Theology and Philosophy accredited to them has had on our history and is still having on our current events.
So bear with me, it will be quite a ride analyzing key historical events, personalities and works of art through new lenses.
